As a first time user of this type of razor, I think this one has a pretty mild learning curve. For reference, before this I was using Dollar Shave Club’s 4X. I made the switch after I started keeping a short beard–I just didn’t need new blades coming every month anymore and the 4X didn’t give me as clean of an edge as I wanted. My first two or three goes with this blade did draw a little blood but nothing too crazy. Nothing I’ve used before this has given such a close shave or given my such clean lines around the cheek and neck.

I usually use a four blade Gillette to do shaving. Anyway, to form a style to e.g. beard it is needed to use a single blade. If you do shaving in a similar way, it might be required to do a few practices to avoid cutting your face with a single blade (it is a bit different than e.g. a multi-blade Gillette even with a safety edge). I rate this product with 5 stars. It comes with 100 blades and the price is highly reasonable.

My friends have loved the hard parts I’ve been able to make using this straight edge. Highly recommend for your every day close shave or for amateur hair-cutting to clean things up around the sides.
